The Relationship Acuity® Leadership Model

Relationship Acuity refers to the personal and interpersonal competencies we need to work productively with others.

Our leadership model illustrates three levels of leadership, each requiring a specific set of personal and interpersonal competencies that build on and complement each another. Together, these competencies form the broad spectrum of leadership capabilities that exemplify Relationship Acuity.

    Leadership begins at the personal level. Every leader must first lead themselves before they can lead others. This means entering every interaction with mindfulness of the situation and the people involved, thinking about how they act and interact with others.

    At the team leadership level, additional competencies enable the leader to engage their employee to achieve their performance potential.

    Those leaders who reach the executive level must be able to create an enterprise-wide culture that inspires people to follow their vision and purpose and live the values of their organization.
